Three Titles Chosen for 2013 Publication

We received more manuscripts this year than ever before and we are grateful to each and every author who sent us their amazing work.  Selections from our top manuscripts will be represented in Issue 7 of the journal which will be available Fall/Winter 2012.

It is our delight to enthusiastically announce that we have chosen the following three titles to be published in 2013:

Congratulations to Michael, Aby, and James! Books will be available for pre-order (with free shipping) in early 2013 and at the 2013 AWP Bookfair in Boston where SpringGun Press will share a table with The Cupboard in one of the Table-X pods.

Michael Flatt grew up in Tully, New York before moving to Buffalo in 2002. He now lives in Denver where he works as an editor for Field Editorial and Counterpath and also as a teacher.

Aby Kaupang, author of Absence is Such a Transparent House (Tebot Bach, 2011) and Scenic Fences | Houses Innumerable (Scantily Clad Press, 2008), has had poems appear in FENCE, La Petite Zine, Dusie, Verse, Denver Quarterly, The Laurel Review, Parthenon West, PANK, Aufgabe, 14 Hills, Interim, Caketrain, & others. She holds both an MFA in Creative writing as well as a Master’s of Occupational Therapy from Colorado State University.

James Belflower is the author of Commuter (Instance Press), which was recently voted the 2009 “Best Book Length Long Poem/Sequence” by ColdFront magazine, And Also a Fountain (NeOpepper Press), a collaborative e-chap with Anne Heide and J. Michael Martinez, and Bird Leaves the Cornice which won the 2011 SpringGun Poetry Chapbook Prize. He won the 2007 Juked Magazine poetry prize and his work appears, or is forthcoming in: New American Writing, EOAGH, Apostrophe Cast, Reconfigurations, Konundrum Engine, O&S, and Packingtown Review among others. Belflower currently resides in New York and is pursuing a PhD in poetics at SUNY Albany.
