Journal Submissions
Good news! We will remain a biannual journal thanks to the acquisition of our new fiction and poetry editors.
Before you submit, please read/experience prior issues of the journal to see if your work is a good fit.
The Issue 6 Reading Period will be held from February 1, 2012 – March 31, 2012.
Guidelines:
We accept the following year round:
- book reviews
- interviews
- interdisciplinary digital art/electronic literature (1,500 words or less, 3 pieces maximum)
Please keep in mind that depending on when you submit, response times for year round submissions can be long. Our apologies and thanks for your patience. We do respond to every submission.
We accept the following during our designated reading periods:
- poetry (5 poems or 5 pages of poetry maximum)
- flash fiction (stories must be 1, 000 words or less, 5 pieces maximum)
We are now using the wonderful Submishmash/Submittable submissions manager for all submissions. Please do not send any submissions via email, they will not be considered. Simultaneous submissions are accepted (notify us ASAP in the event of publication elsewhere). All rights revert to the author(s) upon publication.
Open Reading Period for Print Books
Thank you to all who submitted to our 2011 reading period for poetry manuscripts. All submissions have been responded to and we have announced our catalog for 2012.
The reading period is now closed but will reopen from July 1, 2012 – August 31, 2012.
Chosen authors will receive print publication and 10 books.
Guidelines:
-English poetry manuscripts of any length
-Poetry translations into English welcome
-All submissions handled through Submishmash/Submittable online http://springgun.submishmash.com/Submit
-$5 reading fee
